To be a church on a hill, bringing light to a dark and broken world.
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.“
- Matthew 5:14-16
WHAT WE DO
We exist to worship and serve God and to extend His church in our community and throughout the world. It is our goal to be relevant to an ever-changing culture while remaining consistent to the scriptures given from a never-changing God.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
What We Believe
We hold these foundational beliefs regarding Christian living and doctrine:
There is only one true, living, and eternal God, and the Godhead is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God given to us as our only reliable guide of Christian faith and conduct.
God created mankind in His own image to bring Him honor through obedience, and that when mankind disobeyed he became a fallen and sinful creature, unable to save himself. We believe that infants are in the covenant of God’s grace, and all persons become accountable to God when they reach a state of moral responsibility.
Salvation has been provided for all mankind through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, and this salvation can be received only through repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
ASSURANCE AND ENDURANCE
Those who abide in Christ have the assurance of salvation. However, we believe that the Christian retains his freedom of choice; therefore, it is possible to turn away from God and be finally lost.
Christians should live faithfully by serving in and through the local church; praying, witnessing, giving as God prospers, and conducting themselves in such a way as to bring glory to God.
The church universal is the body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers, and its members have been called out of the world to come under the dominion and authority of Christ, the head of the church. We believe that a local church is a fellowship of Christians, a part of the body of Christ, voluntarily banded together for worship, nurturing, and service.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ to be observed by Christians only. We also believe that the Biblical mode of baptism is immersion and that participation in the Lord’s Supper should be open to all Christians.
THE LORD’S DAY
Christians are expected by God to regularly participate in worship, both public and private.
There will be a personal return of Jesus Christ and a bodily resurrection of the dead. We believe that God will judge all mankind by Jesus Christ; that He will reward the righteous with eternal life in Heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in Hell.
